If you don’t love golf, you’ve likely still heard of it. Known as “a luxury developer of exceptional golf, hospitality and real estate destinations,” Cabot has announced an exciting expansion, adding another Canadian location, this time in British Columbia. Scheduled to open partially in fall 2026, the newest Cabot location will be nestled in beautiful Revelstoke, joining Cabot’s other destinations: Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida, Cabot Highlands in Scotland, Cabot Bordeaux in France and Lofoten Links in Norway.

All about Cabot Revelstoke According to Cabot, Cabot Revelstoke will be a four-season mountain destination with an 18-hole public golf course and a 155 hotel room-mountain lodge, all set against the backdrop of the Monashee and Selkirk Mountain Ranges. Revelstoke is already a beloved area to outdoor enthusiasts with world-class skiing and hiking trails, located two hours north of Kelowna International Airport. The golf course will be situated at the base of the lodge and will be the first part of Cabot Revelstoke to open in fall 2026.

“Perched high above the Columbia River valley on a spectacular bench of land, the routing takes full advantage of the sweeping vistas overlooking the river and surrounding peaks,” Cabot explains. If you’re new to golf, or just enjoy the fun of a par-three course (as I do), Cabot Revelstoke will also include The Railyard, a par-three short course. The Railyard gets its name from “Revelstoke’s rich railway heritage,” and can be found near the course clubhouse, where guests can dine or try their hand at the lineup of other activities like shuffleboard, bowling and virtual golf.

The mountain lodge will open shortly after the golf course in early 2027. The Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge is where the 155 hotel rooms will be located, along with a steakhouse and bar, spa and wellness facilities and a “European-inspired event venue for weddings, corporate events and celebrations accommodating up to 400 guests.” Canadian roots Cabot is known worldwide for its gorgeous golf courses and luxurious properties, but it all started right here in Canada. Cabot Cape Breton was the very first location, opened by Canadian entrepreneur Ben Cowan-Dewar, in 2012.

In hopes of reviving what was once a mining community after the local coal mines shut down, Cabot Cape Breton was born, bringing in tourists from all over the world. Sustainability-focused One of the biggest focuses Cabot takes pride in is its dedication to sustainability. The brand has partnered with Audubon International, “an environmentally-focused non-profit organization that designates numerous certifications and conservation initiatives to protect the areas where we live, work and play.” Cabot and other courses must complete a certification program, which must meet extremely high requirements in the following areas: - Environmental planning - Wildlife and habitat management - Outreach and education - Chemical use reduction and safety - Water conservation - Water quality management Shopping Essentials, a category written by research-obsessed shopping fanatics, is now on Canoe.
