BC Hockey Hall of Fame will welcome new additions in a ceremony in Penticton this summer 5 to join Hall of Fame Five individuals and two teams will be welcomed into the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame, including a few former NHL players, a hockey broadcaster and a BCHL team. The annual induction gala event in Penticton recognizes outstanding players, builders, officials, and teams who have made "significant contributions to hockey in British Columbia." This year's induction class includes: - Andrew Ladd – Two-time Stanley Cup Champion and former NHL captain - Travis Green – Former NHL player and coach - Josh Gorges – Former NHL defenceman and Kelowna native - Daryl Reaugh – Former professional goaltender and renowned hockey broadcaster - Malcolm Ashford – Distinguished official and contributor to the game - 2009 Vernon Vipers – BCHL and RBC Cup Champions - 2010 Vernon Vipers – BCHL and RBC Cup Champions The gala, which takes place on Saturday, July 11, at the South Okanagan Events Centre, includes a reception with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar available throughout the event. The night will also feature a live and silent auction, including some exclusive hockey memorabilia, along with a 50/50 raffle in support of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame.
