The 70.3 mile race, will start with the swimming portion at Ghost Lake, the bicycle portion will take participants back to Cochrane where the running portion will finish the race at Historic Cochrane Ranche. “Cochrane is a community that shows up for one another, for our visitors and for opportunities that bring people together,” said Cochrane Mayor Morgan Nagel.

“We are proud to welcome this event and the energy it will bring to our town, while highlighting the local businesses, volunteers and community spirit that make Cochrane such a special place.” Shuttle service will be operating for spectators from the SLS Centre to Ghost Lake from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and looping to and from the finish from 11 a.m. on. Mitford Park will also include activities such as stage programming and food trucks.

Residents should expect increased activity on race weekend, especially on Sunday, July 26 as the running portion moves through Cochrane. Temporary road closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Glenbow Drive and Glenpatrick Drive on Sunday, July 26. Traffic is also expected to be affected near Highway 22, the Sunset entrance and RancheHouse Road.
