An Ottawa teen was killed after two vehicles collided on a rural highway just north of the Town of Renfrew. The crash happened around 6: 39 a.m. on Friday. Ontario Provincial Police from the Renfrew detachment were the first to arrive, where they saw the two vehicles heavily damaged on Highway 17.

A 19-year-old from Ottawa was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are reconstructing the scene, prompting the stretch of Highway 17 is closed both ways between Storyland Road and Bruce Street in Horton Township. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident are being asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
