Bourbonnais police make an arrest in alleged assault with a hammer.

Iresha L. White, 30, of Kankakee, was arrested by Bourbonnais police Monday for the charges of violation of an order of protection and aggravated assault. According to police, an officer on foot patrol in the Hidden Glen Apartments heard a commotion from a building. He intervened and discovered White had an order of protection against the victim, police said.

A witness said White allegedly attempted to attack the victim with a hammer but was prevented in doing so by other bystanders, police said.
