Barcelona have already made moves for Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi this summer. The former’s transfer has been made official and the latter is expected to complete the formalities in the coming days. Needless to say, Hansi Flick is going all out to strengthen the forward line ahead of next season, and the arrivals have been direct replacements for existing profiles.

Gordon arrived in place of Marcus Rashford whose continuity the club decided against. Adeyemi, meanwhile is expected to arrive in place of exit-bound Roony Bardghji as a more seasoned option. Julian Alvarez, meanwhile, remains the primary target to replace Robert Lewandowski who left at the end of last season.

Now, Ferran Torres is being linked with a departure to PSG and the club are again looking for replacements. An interested candidate As relayed earlier this week, Fisnik Asllani is seen as a player who can replace Torres should he leave the club this summer. Asllani was said to have reached an agreement with Dortmund last month and the Bundesliga side were prepared to trigger his €30 million release clause. Now, however, he has kept that on hold in the hope of interest from Barcelona. Playing for the Catalan club, after all, is Asllani’s first dream and he is willing to do anything to make sure it materialises.

The final decision, however, will depend largely on Hansi Flick’s views and whether or not the manager sees the forward as a good fit for his system. More importantly, the operation almost completely hinges on how the Ferran Torres saga plays out and even how much of a financial gain Barcelona can make from the same. The coming weeks after the FIFA World Cup, thus, will be crucial in deciding Barcelona’s stance on Asllani’s future.

For the player to hold out an almost finalised move to Dortmund, however, will certainly count for something.
