It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at Health Sciences North on July 13, 2026 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband to Suzanne Dupont-Burton. Predeceased by his parents Francis and May Burton (née Dunstan).

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at Health Sciences North on July 13, 2026 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband to Suzanne Dupont-Burton. Predeceased by his parents Francis and May Burton (née Dunstan).

Cherished father to Danyka Burton (Chad) and Sabryna Burton (James). His cherished grandchildren, Caryne (James), May (Rowan), Grayce, Brayden and Sophy, as well as Daniel and Benjamin. Dear brother of late Charles “Charlie” Burton (Wendy), Janice Burton and Angela Burton.

Brian was a calming presence in any situation. Known for his kind and gentle nature, he left a lasting impression of warmth on anyone who ever met him. Above all, his heart belonged to his family.

Some of his favorite moments were shared alongside his wife, his daughters, and his beloved grandchildren—whether they were enjoying quiet times at home, sunny days in Florida, traveling together, or gathering at the family's cottage. He was a man of simple, meaningful pleasures, content to spend hours cooking in the kitchen, puttering around in his garage, fishing off the dock, or planning the next big project. Brian was also incredibly dedicated to his work.

He built a highly successful and fulfilling career at VALE, where his work ethic shone as he progressed from a machinist to the superintendent of the Divisional Shop, finding great professional pride and confidence along the way. He was the perfect partner in all aspects of life to his wife, and a steady anchor of love and unwavering support to his daughters. His grandchildren were incredibly fortunate to know and love the absolute best grandad.

Beyond his family, Brian's wonderful sense of humor and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of sharing in his life. The family would like to thank the staff at HSN – Four North and ICU for their amazing care and compassion. The family are receiving friends and relatives at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury, on July 17, 2026 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
