The Kelowna Fire Department attended a car fire in Rutland on Tuesday.

Car destroyed by flames in Kelowna Published 4:09 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2026 A car went up in flames in Kelowna’s Rutland neighbourhood on Tuesday afternoon. According to a Facebook post, the incident took place near Hollywood Road and Highway 33 on July 14 outside of Dollarama, receiving a response from the Kelowna Fire Department (KFD).

In the social media post, KFD firefighters can be seen attending the blaze, but by the time they arrived on scene, the car was fully engulfed in fire and could not be saved. The cause of the car fire is not known at this time, but Black Press Media has reached out to KFD for more information.
