Minas calmly slotted the ball into the bottom-left corner of the Halifax goal with Tides goalkeeper Rylee Foster diving the other way. Halifax just managed one shot on target as Roses goaltender Anna Karpenko picked up the clean sheet.

The win moves Montreal (6-2-3) four points behind Ottawa for top spot in the league. The Tides (4-5-2) sit one point back of Toronto in fourth place. Next week, Montreal goes on the road to take on the Calgary Wild on Friday.

The Tides are in Ottawa to face the Rapid on Thursday.
