I’ve been using this Kendall Jenner-approved LED mask for over 40 days — here’s my review

Ten months into my LED mask journey, I swapped my flexible model for the TheraFace Mask Glo. Here’s my full review.

For the first eight, I used a flexible Kala mask that was on sale at Costco, but I was always wondering what a more structured, shell-like mask would be like, and I jumped at the chance to check out Therabody’s TheraFace Mask Glo when I got the opportunity. So many snazzy LED masks have flooded the market over the last few years, and I’m sure we’ve all sleuthed around a Reddit thread or two wondering if we were getting duped by fantastic marketing around them. I wasn’t starting from scratch, though — I’d already seen results with my first mask — so I was excited to test out the TheraFace Mask Glo, the LED mask Kendall Jenner has been repping as Therabody’s newest ambassador.

This device really simplified the process; integrating it into my daily ritual was a lot easier than my first mask. Its 12-minute treatment time and cordless design are the biggest game-changers for me personally. Here’s everything worth knowing after more than a month of testing.

Therabody is known for its massage gadgets as well as its clinically proven skincare devices. In that department, the brand currently offers solutions for portable facial depuffing, complete facial care and two structured red light LED masks: the TheraFace Mask ($800 CAD) and the TheraFace Mask Glo ($500 CAD).

Launched in fall 2025, the TheraFace Mask Glo aims to deliver fast treatment times (4–12 minutes per day) with noticeable results within eight weeks. The mask is touted as a “complete skincare routine in one wearable device.” It offers three four-minute treatments: red light for boosting collagen and smoothing fine lines; red + infrared for firmness and dark spots; and blue light for inflammation and bacteria control.

In addition to the 504 red, infrared and blue LED lights that aim to firm and brighten the skin, this mask features Therabody’s VibraWave technology, which offers three different vibration settings: relax, refresh and relieve. Therabody’s two science-backed masks clearly differ in price, but what about in other ways? The TheraFace Mask comes with a display stand, for one, while the Glo version doesn’t.

In terms of technical power, the former has 648 red, red + infrared and blue lights, while the Glo offers 504. Glo is lighter, making it the better pick of the two for portability; however, its battery life is just 60 minutes (one 12-minute routine with vibration), whereas the original mask’s is approximately 120 minutes in LED-only mode and 60 minutes in vibration mode. What’s it like unboxing and using the TheraFace Mask Glo?

Inside the box, I found the mask with a built-in rechargeable battery, protective eye shields, and a USB-C charging cable. Once open, the box lid clearly displays a “get started” call to action, outlining how to use the mask with a clean, dry face and how to toggle through the different treatments and vibration settings using the button on the right side of the product. There’s a QR code to the full user manual on the Therabody app if people are curious about more best practices, but truly all the basics are right there for you.

If you need a step-by-step visual, the brand also has a product tour video, which is easily accessible online. What are the best parts of the TheraFace Mask Glo? I will admit it, and maybe it was all those beers that magically appeared in front of me during World Cup matches in June and July, but it’s safe to say I wasn’t exactly fuelling myself properly for beautiful skin while testing this.

Despite that, I still found that this mask provided visible skin smoothness and brightness after a few weeks for my entire face. Result aside, I really enjoyed using this mask daily, and for the most part, found its fit, along with the 12-minute treatment, comfortable and manageable during my busy days. Consistency is truly key with LED masks, and this one makes that part easy.

The mask sits fixed and doesn’t shift or move as much as the flexible ones I’ve used previously, and it also has an off-the-face fit (other than around the eyes), which means less residue builds up between my skin and the inner surface. The TheraFace Mask Glo is also cordless, which is a huge plus for someone like me who has a hard time sitting still, since it lets me stay mobile while I wear it. This mask has a rechargeable battery and also an intuitive LED indicator: green for charged, blue for getting low and orange for when it needs charging.

As someone who’s had my previous mask turn off halfway through my treatment more times than I can count, I really appreciated seeing the blue light and knowing I needed to charge up. Where did the TheraFace Mask Glo miss the mark? The biggest drawback of this device, for me, is the strap.

As someone with long, thick hair who likes to wear it up when I am using the mask, I find it’s not super adjustable. I’m not able to rock a bun or a giant messy claw clip on the top of my head with it on, so I find that a bit inconvenient. I will mention that the reason this mask is so comfortable has a lot to do with the supportive nature of the strap, so it’s not that I don’t like it; it’s just been an adjustment.

Other than that, I would have really loved a stand similar to the one that comes in the box of the pricier version of this mask. When you’re spending this much money on something, having a dedicated home for it is nice. Who should buy the TheraFace Mask Glo?

This mask is a great pick for busy multitaskers. The 12-minute cycle is an easy commitment, especially with the cordless feature in the mix as well. It has a more accessible entry point price-wise than its sister mask, especially if you’re looking to buy your first-ever LED mask.

I’d say the biggest thing to contemplate is the strap, but that’s not even that major. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking to incorporate an LED light-therapy mask into their routine. Curious how other masks stack up?
