Juventus have revived their interest in signing AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori as the Serie A giants weigh up defensive reinforcements this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The former Chelsea defender has emerged as a leading option for the Bianconeri, although any move is expected to depend on player sales before the club can enter the market. Tomori was heavily linked with Juventus during the January 2025 transfer window but rejected the chance to leave San Siro, opting to fight for his place at Milan.

Tottenham Hotspur were also credited with interest at the time. However, the 28-year-old’s situation has changed once again. Milan’s recent addition of Mario Gila is expected to increase competition in central defence, potentially pushing Tomori further down the pecking order and opening the door to a transfer.

The England international is under contract until 2027. Still, Milan could be tempted to cash in while his value remains high, particularly as a sale would generate a healthy profit on their books. Juventus are keeping a close watch but will first need to restructure their own squad.

Federico Gatti is among the players who could leave the Turin outfit after slipping behind Gleison Bremer in the defensive hierarchy. While head coach Luciano Spalletti values the Italy international’s leadership qualities, there are concerns about pairing him with Bremer given their limitations in building play from the back. Gatti wants regular first-team football rather than a rotational role.

Juventus are reportedly looking for around €20 million (£17m) for the defender, with Napoli and AC Milan both reported to be interested. However, neither club is currently in a position to make a move. If Gatti leaves, Juventus are expected to step up their pursuit of Tomori, who remains an attractive option thanks to his Serie A experience and familiarity with Italian football.
