A 32-year-old man from Kentville, N.S., has been charged with arson after a fire damaged two buildings in the area last week. Emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Webster Court around 10:15 p.m. on July 7. The fire started in the alley and spread to two buildings next to it.
The deputy chief of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department said an office space for a solar company suffered heavy damage after the fire went up the walls and onto the roof. A provincial government office suffered minor damage. No one was in either building at the time.
