The boating advisory for the Oldman and St. Mary Rivers was lifted Wednesday by Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services, effective immediately. The advisory was installed on July 2 due to elevated river flows that created hazardous river conditions. The city said in a release that since that time, water levels and flow rates have declined, making it OK to use the river again.

Water temperatures are still cold and reduced visibility can make submerged hazards tough to see. For more information about river conditions, go here. For more information about staying safe near water, go here.
