Article content The Owen Sound North Stars suffered another tough loss at home in Major Series Lacrosse action at the Bayshore Saturday night. The North Stars fell to 1-12 on the year after getting shellacked by the Cobourg Kodiaks, 18-6. Recommended Videos Alex Mariner was on fire, scoring 10 goals and adding four helpers in the contest while Jason Knox (2), Will White (2), Aaron Woods (2), Nathan Pouliot and Ethan Fines all scored for the Bears.

It was a tough night in net for junior B call-up goaltenders Myles Playter and Jacob Fluney, who both got the call Saturday and were both thrown into the fire. Mariner now leads the MSL in scoring with 38 goals and 31 assists in just 12 games. Josh Rosa and Carter Moran both netted a pair of goals for the North Stars.

Riley Ford and Carter McLaughlin netted the other markers. Owen Sound will be in tough Tuesday when they travel to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena to take on the undefeated Six Nations Chiefs. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
