Source York cops have charged a 27-year-old Mississauga man in connection with four hate-motivated assaults in Vaughan and Markham and believe there may be more victims. York Regional Police said on June 9 at about 8:45 p.m., officers responded to an assault in the area of Major Mackenzie Dr. W. and Amusement Dr. after it was alleged that the suspect made a racial comment and assaulted the victim and fled on foot. Authorities also alleged that on June 11 at about 2:50 p.m., the same suspect approached a second victim in the area of Weston Rd. and Starling Blvd., assaulted them, made a racial comment and fled on foot.
