NHTSA receives complaint related to some Honda minivan air bags

July 14 (Reuters) - A U.S. auto safety regulator said on Tuesday it received a request to open a probe into 806,963 Honda minivans over concerns related to their air bags. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the petition was related to inadvertent deployment of air bags while the vehicle was in motion.

The move covers the Japanese automaker's popular Odyssey models from model years 2011 to 2017. Honda did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for a comment. (Reporting by Nathan Gomes in Bengaluru)
