Due to the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) reaching 10+ because of wildfire smoke, all open-air burns are suspended in the City of London.

Due to the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) reaching 10+ because of wildfire smoke, all open-air burns are suspended in the City of London. The ban takes effect immediately, as per the City of London Open Air Burning Bylaw . According to London Fire, “This measure is intended to help protect public health during poor air quality conditions.

The suspension will remain in place until AQHI conditions improve and the restriction is rescinded.”
