A man in his 40s has been charged with careless driving causing death.
An Ottawa man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision that killed a 29-year-old pedestrian in Barrhaven in May. The Ottawa Police Service said the collision happened at about 7:19 p.m. on May 11 at Fallowfield Road and Via Park Place, near the OC Transpo Fallowfield Park & Ride. The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died six days later, on May 17.
Police said Monday that a man in his 40s has been charged with careless driving causing death under the Highway Traffic Act. Investigators said the collision involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian. The Ottawa Police Service said the investigation has now concluded.
