British lightweight star Paddy Pimblett looked to rebound from his first octagon loss on Saturday against former French Army Special Forces soldier Benoit Saint Denis. The two met in the UFC 329 co-main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Saint-Denis entered the bout ranked No. 5 in the division and riding a four-fight winning streak.

Those four wins were all finishes. Pimblett last fought in January, losing to current champion Justin Gaethje in an interim title bout. Ranked No. 9, Pimblett hoped to jump back in title contention with a win.

Pimblett landed first with a leg kick. Denis looked to get the fight to the ground. Pimblett quickly locked on a guillotine choke.

Denis worked to escape. Pimblett switched to a d'arce choke. He tightened it down.

Denis rolled and desperately tried to defend. He went to sleep. Pimblett choked Denis out.

The official time of the submission finish was 0:52 of the first round. With the win, Pimblett is back in the win column and back into title contention.
