The blaze was at a residence on Wiltshire Drive near Murphy Road. According to authorities, four people got out of the structure safely before emergency responders made it to the scene — while another person was found inside and rescued.

Police say one occupant sustained serious injuries, while another suffered minor ones; however, both are expected to recover. A 32-year-old man and 33-year-old woman — both from Sarnia — each face two counts attempted murder and two counts of arson causing bodily harm. The male accused is also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
