Rock the Park’s second night cancelled due to air quality concerns

According to a statement posted to the event’s social media pages, organizers said they have been in constant communication with the artists, city officials, emergency services, and medical officials.

Night two of Rock the Park will no longer go ahead as planned. According to a statement posted to the event’s social media pages, organizers said that despite best efforts, “... the smoke conditions have continued to worsen throughout the day.” Rock the Park officials say that after ongoing discussions with the artists, city officials, emergency services, and medical officials, “... we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s show.”

All ticket purchases for Thursday night’s show will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment, says Rock the Park. “We sincerely apologize for this disappointment and thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during these incredibly challenging circumstances,” Rock the Park said in a written statement. Rock the Park also cancelled Wednesday night’s headlining performance from The Lumineers due to deteriorating air quality conditions.

Tonight’s country lineup included Maddy McKenzie, Lanie Gardner, Braxton Keith, Tucker Wetmore, and Jordan Davis.
