Silver Star Water Utility outage helps main repair near Vernon Published 12:14 pm Monday, July 13, 2026 A Monday water outage will affect some customers supplied by the Silver Star Water Utility. The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), after chatting with Interior Health, said the water outage for Monday, July 13, will allow for an emergency water main repair. The affected properties are highlighted in the map.

“Once water has been returned to service, affected customers will be on a precautionary Water Quality Advisory (WQA) until the water has been tested and confirmed to meet acceptable guidelines,” said the RDNO. When water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the water. Please run cold water until the water has cleared.

An outside tap(s) is preferred. The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers with weakened immune systems and/or those wishing additional protection may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth. The RDNO will notify customers when the WQA is rescinded.

When the notice is rescinded, updates will be posted to www.rdno.ca/news (filter by Water Notices) and the RDNO’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RDNOkanagan. If you have any questions, contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
