Rising markets lifted AUM from $1.71 trillion at Q1-end even as net outflows totaled $6.5 billion for the quarter
This article first appeared on GuruFocus. T. Rowe Price Group (NASDAQ:TROW) rose 0.30% in premarket after the asset manager reported June 2026 month-end assets under management of $1.893 trillion, essentially flat from $1.892 trillion in May. Net inflows for June were $0.8 billion, boosted by a large subadvised equity inflow.
For the full second quarter, however, net outflows totaled $6.5 billion, including $0.5 billion of manager-driven distributions, a sign that organic growth remains under pressure even as rising markets support AUM levels. AUM has recovered meaningfully from $1.710 trillion at the end of Q1 and $1.776 trillion at year-end 2025, with equity AUM steady at $919 billion and multi-asset at $690 billion. Alternatives reached $62 billion.
T. Rowe Price shares have risen over 15% year to date and it will release Q2 2026 earnings on July 31, where the quarterly flow picture and fee revenue will be the key metrics to watch.
