Environment Canada is warning people in parts of southeastern Alberta to get indoors on Tuesday afternoon after issuing a tornado warning. The federal weather agency issued the red tornado warning at around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday for the communities of Delia, Hanna, Starland County and Special Area No. 2. The advisory says people in those areas are urged to immediately take cover indoors and protect themselves from flying debris if stuck outside.
The weather agency says damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall is also possible.
