Indo-Canadian Voice Vancouver Police investigating unprovoked assault in Marpole posted by: Rattan Mall VANCOUVER Police is appealing for public assistance, including dashcam and CCTV footage, following an unprovoked assault at a Marpole bus stop on July 7. At approximately 9:25 a.m., a man was waiting for a bus near Southwest Marine Drive and Ash Street, when a male suspect approached from behind, pushed the victim, and ripped headphones that he was wearing off his head. The suspect then allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a longboard-style skateboard.
The victim managed to flee the scene while calling 911. He sustained minor injuries to his forearm. Investigators are releasing a cellphone photo of the suspect and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or drivers who may have dashcam footage from the area on Tuesday, to contact the VPD non-emergency line at 604-717-3321.
