An investigPedestrian struck in southwest Calgary vehicle collisionation is underway after a woman was struck by a vehicle Saturday night.

An investigation is underway after a woman was struck by a vehicle Saturday night. Just before 8 p.m., police responded to Second Street and 58 Avenue S.W. where they say an elderly woman was struck by a black four door passenger vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Foothills Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police posted on social media early Sunday morning that roads have reopened in the area.
