One person was airlifted to hospital after a collision between an SUV and a commercial truck in Langley Thursday afternoon.

One person was airlifted to hospital after a collision between an SUV and a commercial truck in Langley Thursday afternoon. Langley RCMP said first responders were called to the intersection of 208 Street and 16 Avenue just before 1 p.m. “One individual was airlifted to a local area hospital in critical condition,” Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said in a statement.

“The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been deployed to assist with the investigation.” Road closures remained in effect late Thursday afternoon, and officials said they are expected to last for several hours as the investigation continues. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and plan alternate routes.

Mounties are asking any witnesses to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2026-22350.
