Source Two people are dead following separate collisions in Durham Region on Saturday. Durham Regional Police said one of the fatalities involved a 68-year-old man who died after being struck by a vehicle in a Pickering parking lot. Officers responded at about 10:15 p.m. to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the parking lot at 1105 Kingston Rd. Police said that a black Ford SUV was driving through the parking lot when it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was trapped under the vehicle for a period of time. Responding police officers lifted the Ford SUV to extract the pedestrian and performed life-saving measures.
