Two youths have died following a single-vehicle crash outside Lunenburg, N.S., early Saturday morning. Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to the scene on Highway 324 in Lilydale around 6:40 a.m. The RCMP says a Ford Bronco, travelling southeast, left the road and hit a tree.
“The youth driver and a youth passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene,” reads a news release from the force . “A third occupant of the vehicle, a youth, was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.” Download the CTV News App for breaking news alerts and video on all the top stories Police did not specify the youths’ ages in the release.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist also responded to the scene. A section of the highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Police say their investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
