A pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a TransLink bus in Surrey Saturday night, according to authorities. Around 9:40 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue by paramedics who were treating a person who was “lying in the roadway”, the Surrey Police Service said in a statement. “SPS officers also located a TransLink bus and driver at the scene.
The pedestrian, an adult man, was transported to hospital for treatment of critical, potentially life-threatening, injuries,” the statement said. An investigation into the collision is underway and police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam video. Anyone with information that could assist investigators is urged to call 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-72005.
