29th annual Williams Lake Business Excellence Awards coming in October Published 10:58 am Monday, July 13, 2026 Planning is well underway for an annual event in Williams Lake celebrating outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals. Nominations continue to be accepted for the 29th annual Business Excellence Awards set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Gibraltar Room at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex. “It’s really exciting,” said Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce executive director Tamara Garreau, noting they have already received over 60 nominations.

Categories include excellence in entrepreneurial, not-for-profit, professional and trades service, tourism and hospitality, production and manufacturing, and retail and customer experience. Additional categories are greatest improvement, newsmaker of the year, lifetime achievement and the Hugo Stahl Memorial that recognizes an individual who has shown long-term dedication to improving the community. Judge’s choice awards include Business of the Year and the Ken Wilson Chamber Business of the Year.
