Calgary police are investigating a crash involving a Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian that occurred Saturday night.
Calgary police are investigating a crash involving a Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian that occurred Saturday night. Officers responded to the crash shortly before 8 p.m. in the area of 58 Avenue S.W. and 2 Street S.W. where a 70-year-old woman was reportedly crossing 58 Avenue S.W. at the intersection when she was hit by a black 2012 Toyota Corolla travelling westbound. Police say the woman sustained life-altering injuries and was taken to hospital by EMS.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene. Investigators do not believe drugs, alcohol or speed to be a factor in the crash at this time. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.
