Buyers of new Samsung Galaxy smartphones will soon find a major change in the software of their device that comes right out of the box. Thanks to a new collaboration, the Amazon Music app now comes preinstalled on millions of select Samsung phones across the globe. The company is offering a few months of free access to a vast library of millions of songs on Amazon Music.

Samsung phone users can now download Amazon Music from the Galaxy Store Apart from coming preinstalled on thousands of Samsung phones, the Amazon Music app is now also available through the Galaxy Store. Samsung is making the popular music streaming platform a staple of its mobile experience. It is giving users an alternative way to download and update the Amazon app outside of the standard Google Play options.

Select models will ship with the application already loaded onto the home screen. The app provides users access to Amazon Music’s full library. It includes more than 100 million songs, podcasts, playlists, artist livestreams, and merchandise.

The streaming service allows for enjoying music in HD, Ultra HD, and Spatial Audio. In some markets, the platform offers one Audible audiobook every month for free. Users get three free months before regular subscription charges apply Coming to the finer details of the offer, the two companies are offering a three-month free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited for select Galaxy device users.

Anyone who opens the Amazon Music app and signs up will get three months of free access to the entire catalog. As expected, the offer is valid for those users who haven’t previously subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited. After the free three-month subscription, Amazon Music customers will be paying $12.99 per month.

Those having an Amazon Prime membership will pay $11.99/month. While some users will welcome the change, it comes as bad news for those who prefer a clean, bloatware-free experience on their phones.
