The AOC 13T5S is a 13.3-inch color E Ink portable monitor designed as an eye-friendly secondary screen for reading, writing, and coding. The post AOC announces 13T5S 13.3 inch monitor with Kaleido 3 first appeared on Good e-Reader .

The AOC 13T5S is a 13.3-inch portable color E Ink monitor designed for an eye-friendly, paper-like viewing experience. AOC rates the panel at a 30Hz refresh, which sounds slow next to a normal monitor yet counts as brisk for electronic paper, enough to make scrolling and a moving cursor feel closer to a real display. Each E Ink display faces two challenges: latency and ghosting.

As stated by AOC, a dual T2000 controller employs AI ghosting technology to detect lingering images and updates only those areas, avoiding the panel from flashing black during each page transition. The new AOC monitor features a 13.3 E Ink Kaleido 3 color electronic paper panel combined with an Oxide (IGZO) backplane. It offers a high-definition 3K resolution of 3200 × 2400 pixels and a crisp black-and-white text at 300 PPI, while color rendering drops to 150 PPI.

It operates at 30 Hz, which is exceptionally smooth for E Ink technology and allows for seamless scrolling and mouse movements. A Dual T2000 TCON controller paired with an AI-assisted ghosting reduction system to clear residual images locally. Design and Connectivity - Form Factor: Housed in an 8mm thin anodized aluminum chassis and weighs roughly 700 grams (excluding its cover).

- Smart Stand: Ships with a foldable magnetic cover that acts as a stand, allowing 90° rotation and multiple viewing angles. - Eye Comfort: Equipped with ComfortGaze front-lighting featuring 10 levels of warm and cool adjustments. - Ports: Incorporates two full-function USB-C ports that support video signals and power over a single cable.

- Compatibility: Out-of-the-box plug-and-play functionality for Windows, with macOS support slated for a future software update. This monitor is only available as a pre-order in China and will likely launch internationally for around $650.00.
