Don’t miss this special evening of creativity and community in Downtown Crystal Lake! Art at the Depot is Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Depot Park near the train station. The evening Art Fair will showcase 20 local artists and their work in a variety of mediums: pottery, woodwork, mosaic, fiber art, body art, photography, and fine art.

Collect an original piece or fine art reproduction, discover local commission-based artists, or enjoy browsing and discovering local creativity. The event will also feature live jazz from the Peter Swensen Trio in the concert-in-the-round. At 7 p.m., the Judith Svalander Dance Theater will give a special performance: “An Evening in Paris.”

Stop by the gazebo for a free community art project and add your self-portrait to “The Faces of Crystal Lake.” Thursday, July 16 also marks the kickoff of Downtown Crystal Lake’s Sidewalk Sales , which run through Saturday, giving guests even more ways to enjoy the evening. Many downtown businesses will stay open until 7 p.m. for late-hours shopping while downtown for Art at the Depot.
