A Huge Debut for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has made an impressive debut, with Ubisoft announcing that the remake sold more than 2 million copies on launch day. It highlights the continued popularity of Edward Kenway’s pirate adventure more than a decade after the original game first launched. The game also attracted huge attention across streaming and PC platforms.
It became the most-watched title on Twitch on launch day and reached a peak of 99,451 concurrent players on Steam within its first 24 hours, setting a new record for the highest player count ever achieved by an Assassin’s Creed game on the platform. Critics have also responded positively to the remake. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced currently holds an 85 score on OpenCritic and an 84 on Metacritic, making it the highest-rated Assassin’s Creed release since the original Black Flag.
IGN awarded the game a 9/10, while Digital Foundry praised it as one of the most effective remakes ever made. Players have also shared positive feedback, with strong user ratings across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam.
