Friday July 10, 2026 | KELOWNA, BC by Mary P Brooke | Island Social Trends BC Parks Foundation launched a public fundraising campaign to protect another privately owned property within Myra–Bellevue Park in Kelowna. The 32.4-hectare property sits within one of the Okanagan’s most important conservation landscapes and remains privately owned despite being surrounded by parkland. The Foundation says it has now just about one month (until August 14) to raise $800,000 — with every dollar matched by the Wilson 5 Foundation — to secure the property before private development becomes a possibility.
