Record Staff (HB) Harold F. Baldwin Park, better known as Mont Pinnacle, is pleased to invite you to its “Biodiversity and citizen science” event this Saturday, July 18, at 9 a.m. All activities in the 2026 program of this educational event will be offered free of charge thanks to contributing partners. All are invited to join biologist Jannick Champagne to learn how you can help protect wildlife and plant species. There will be the opportunity to discover some apps (available on your phones) designed to help identify and recognize what nature has to offer.

On a walk along the trails, exploring the natural habitats of Harold F. Baldwin Park, citizen science’s ability to help protect biodiversity will be shown to all participants. Harold F. Baldwin Park (PHFB) is a regional ecological conservation park that offers exceptional access to its natural habitats through a network of trails suitable for hikers of all ages. Covering an area of 63 hectares, the park is located within the city of Coaticook and is managed by a nonprofit organization composed of volunteer board members.

Whether you enjoy hiking, birdwatching, rock climbing, or simply want to breathe in the fresh air and soak up the forest atmosphere, the Pinnacle will impress you with its breathtaking view from 194 meters above Lake Lyster. Come discover the richness and diversity of our landscapes and ecosystems throughout the year. Reservations are required, and can be made here: https://parchfbaldwin.com/réservation-et-tarif The activity is free for everyone, but participants must have a valid hiking pass.

These are free for residents of the Coaticook MRC with proof of residence and for children 16 and under. For everyone else, they cost $9.50.
