The Toronto Blue Jays’ high-A affiliate is getting a new face.
A week after the Blue Jays acquired prospect Ryan Sprock from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Tommy Nance, they assigned the 21-year-old to the high-A Vancouver Canadians, per Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith. Sprock was originally an eighth-round pick in the 2025 draft by the Twins, and has spent his brief professional career in their system with their single- and high-A affiliates. The majority of Sprock's 2026 season has been spent with the single-A Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, where he has played third base, catcher and in the outfield.
Across 67 games in the minors , he's batted .297 with five home runs and 14 stolen bases this season. Sprock joins a Canadians team that is last in the Northwest League, at 37-50.
They have, however, enjoyed a minor upswing lately — with back-to-back wins helping them improve to 5-5 in their last 10 games. Vancouver resumes play after the all-star break on Friday night as it opens a three-game set on the road against Tri-City.
