Finding meaningful employment is an important step toward independence, confidence, and community involvement. For individuals with disabilities, having the right support can make all the difference. Opportunity House helps individuals develop valuable workplace skills while creating opportunities for employers to build stronger, more inclusive teams through its Small Group Employment Program.

This innovative approach connects individuals with disabilities to meaningful work opportunities while meeting the specific needs of local businesses. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, Opportunity House works closely with employers to customize job responsibilities and build teams that match the tasks required. This creates positive outcomes for both employees and employers.

Each Opportunity House Group Employment team consists of three team members and one dedicated job coach. The job coach remains on-site, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team members are successful in their roles. This structure helps participants gain confidence, strengthen workplace skills, and become productive contributors in a supportive environment.

Currently, Opportunity House serves 19 participants across four group employment sites. Team members perform important tasks, including janitorial services, light assembly work, and packing projects. These positions allow participants to gain job experience while contributing to businesses throughout the community.
