August 16, 1959 – June 20, 2026 Chris (William Christopher) Sloan passed away on June 20, 2026 at the Rotary Hospice House in Prince George, B.C. after a long battle with cancer. Chris was born in Kelowna on August 16, 1959.
He spent his life there until he moved to New Brunswick in the 1980’s and began his career of long-haul truck driving. He moved back to BC in the 1990’s and continued his career in truck driving but this time in logging. He worked for a few companies here in Prince George, most recently Malla Trucking.
He was a “mountain man” (his words). He is survived by his wife Penny, step-daughter Sharon and step-grandson Austin of Vancouver and son Jared of Red Deer, AB and daughter Kiera of New Brunswick. Also survived by mother Doreen of Kelowna, sisters Tina, Sharon and Veronica and brother Daryl and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pre-deceased by father, William. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church at 777 Ospika Blvd., Prince George, B.C. Refreshments will be served after the service.
