Cocktail fundraiser to support Summerland Food Bank Published 2:06 pm Monday, July 13, 2026 A fundraiser at Controlled Entropy distillery will raise money for the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre. The event will be held at the distillery, 18006 Bentley Rd.

on July 19 from noon to 5 p.m. The distillery is dedicating 100 per cent of cocktail and mocktail sales to the facilityÆs capital campaign. “We’re putting a special emphasis on our Summerland-inspired drinks the Red Delicious cocktail and the Fresh and Free mocktail,” said Nahome Boule-Paquette, who owns the distillery with husband Shea Bennett.

The sparkling Red Delicious cocktail features handcrafted Amaro and Apple Acid made from Summerland-grown Ambrosia apples. A non-alcoholic drink, the shaken Fresh & Free mocktail, features a handcrafted shrub made from locally grown lavender and rhubarb. Other cocktails will also be available at the fundraiser.

The Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre was created in 1984 and was housed at Summerland United Church. The former site of the church is now under construction as a five-storey affordable housing facility. Once this facility is completed, the food bank will occupy the ground floor of the building on Henry Avenue.
