Durham police want answers after a gun safe was stolen from a home after a break-and-enter in Beaverton. It happened on February 17 around 8:10 p.m., in the area of Thorah Concession Road 4 and Thorah Side Road, south of Simcoe Street. The homeowner says he left the home in the morning and returned sometime after 5 p.m., that’s when he noticed his front door was open and gun safe was stolen.
Crime Stoppers is offering $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest. Anyone that was in the area with cell phone, dash cam or surveillance footage between 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. is asked to contact the North Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1505.
