Wednesday July 15, 2026 | VICTORIA, BC by Mary P Brooke | Island Social Trends The Victoria Police Department (VicPD) is seeking witnesses and video images, following a report of a hit and run incident with injuries. Police responded to the collision in the 1000-block of Caledonia Avenue on July 14 at about 12:20 p.m. Officers learned that a cyclist was travelling west on Caledonia Avenue and was struck by a dark coloured SUV, according to a VicPD news release late yesterday afternoon. The driver, described as male, did not remain on scene and was last seen travelling west on Caledonia Avenue, say police.

Non-life threatening injuries: The cyclist was transported to hospital due to non-life threatening injuries. Investigation continues: VicPD officers continue to gather additional evidence relating to this investigation.
