Male driver of a dark-coloured SUV fled west on Caledonia Avenue; cyclist sent to hospital
Fleeing SUV driver sought after cyclist injured in Victoria hit-and-run Published 5:14 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2026 A cyclist was sent to the hospital after being struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run on Tuesday (July 14). VicPD officers responded to the collision in the 1000-block of Caledonia Ave.
at approximately 12:20 p.m. Investigators learned the cyclist was travelling west on Caledonia Avenue when they were hit by a dark-coloured SUV. Police say the male driver did not remain at the scene and was last seen driving west on Caledonia Ave. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
VicPD continues to gather evidence and is appealing to the public for witnesses. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 ext. 1, quoting file number 26-29159.
