In loving memory of David Ewart Gillen, 80 years who passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at his home. Dear son of Winston and Nelda (née Harkins) Gillen both predeceased.

Beloved father of Lilly Gillen. Loving brother of Ross Gillen (Pat) both predeceased, Gordon Gillen (Dianne) both predeceased, Clarke Gillen (Jenny) of Sudbury and Harriet Perkio of Sudbury (Jack predeceased). Dear uncle of Brian, Brenda, Carolyn, Kelly, Brent and Jennifer.

Dave worked at the Copper Cliff Nickel Refinery, retiring in 1999. After retirement, he bought a Harley Davidson motorcycle and loved riding. He was a very talented craftsman and was always tinkering in his garage and his yard.

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the ICAN-CERD Independent Living Support.
