And now this option is opening up to even more apps. For now, the expansion is limited to users in the US, but it is something that will almost certainly come to other parts of the world in due course. The company says: You can already connect some of your favorite services to the Gemini app, and now, to help you get even more done, we’re enabling you to directly connect your apps in Search.

Starting to roll out this week in the U.S., you can securely link and interact with some of your go-to services right in AI Mode. Here’s a look at how these integrations in Search can streamline your day: Let’s say you’re planning a barbecue and using AI Mode for help with your grocery list. If you connect Instacart, you can add the ingredients straight into your Instacart shopping cart and check out with just a few taps on their app or website.

Or, if you’re working on a project where you need some design concepts – like creating a flyer – you can ask Canva to show you some template options. Want to build the perfect soundtrack for your next party? You can use AI Mode to curate a playlist, instantly save it to YouTube Music and press play to start the celebration.

Google concludes by adding: “Head over to AI Mode in Search to try the new connected apps today. We're working with a range of partners and look forward to launching with more apps soon”.
