Google is turning its search engine into a much more active assistant. Rolling out this week for users in the United States, a new update lets you securely connect and interact with some of your favorite third-party services right inside Google Search’s AI Mode. Instead of pointing you to a list of blue links, Google’s AI can now pass your instructions to other platforms.
This way, you can get tasks done without you needing to jump between different tabs. We have been able to connect various Google services to the standalone Gemini app for a while. However, the tech giant is now bringing that same connected magic directly into standard Search.
Getting things done without leaving the page This integration aims to take the friction out of daily digital chores. For instance, if you use AI Mode to brainstorm a backyard barbecue menu, you can connect your Instacart account to instantly transfer those recipe ingredients straight into your shopping cart, leaving you just a couple of taps away from a final checkout on their app. The same seamless handoff applies to creative and entertainment tasks.
If you are designing a promotional flyer and ask the AI for concept ideas, it can pull matching template options directly from Canva. Similarly, if you want to set the mood for a gathering, you can ask AI Mode to build a customized party soundtrack, automatically save it to your library in YouTube Music, and start playing it immediately. Google is starting with a select group of launch partners, including Instacart, Canva, and YouTube Music.
However, the company says it is actively collaborating with other developers to bring more applications into the search experience soon. The post Google’s AI Mode Can Now Talk Directly to Your Favorite Apps Inside Search appeared first on Android Headlines .
