J.J. Collett supported by Cilantro and Chive’s ‘Burger of the Month’ Published 1:30 pm Monday, July 13, 2026 Cilantro and Chive’s latest Burger of the Month has supported the J.J. Collett Natural Area north of Lacombe. “We had the absolute privilege of handing over a $896 cheque to J.J. Collett Natural Area President Jack Surbey, along with Vic and Ben, and our incredible June Guest Chef Shane Groendahl,” noted a release from the Lacombe-based Cilantro and Chive. “Because of (our supporters), we raised $896 to help protect and maintain over 18 km of trails across 635 acres of beautiful public land.

We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.” With this donation, the eatery has now given back more than $210,000 to local charities and organizations.

Located just north of Lacombe, the J.J. Collette area features scenic boardwalks, groomed trails, rolling hills, open plains, and lush forests. Surbey emphasized the support of the local community in helping J.J. Collett with its ongoing mission. “What an amazing community.
