Landlord arrested after tenants found hidden cameras in bathrooms, bedrooms Posted Jul 12, 2026 3:37 pm. A landlord is facing charges after tenants found hidden cameras in the bathrooms and bedrooms of his rental properties. Calgary police say that on June 8, a tenant allegedly discovered a small camera attached to a surge protector in the bathroom and another camera on a smoke detector in their bedroom.

The tenant who made the discovery alerted other tenants, and more cameras were found in additional bedrooms. Police were then called. Investigators searched a home on Springborough Way SW in the community of Springbank Hill on June 12 and seized several electronic storage devices.

Police believe similar devices were placed in another rental unit on Brentwood Road NW in the Brentwood community. The landlord was arrested on Friday. Sooryong Park, 41, who also goes by Nick Park, is charged with one count of break and enter and five counts of voyeurism.

He is scheduled to appear in court in August. Police believe Park may rent properties in other cities, including Vancouver and Toronto, and may target women in the Korean community. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact police at 403‐266‐1234 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
